Xavier Luc Duval is currently attending the BIT Fair in Milan, Italy. He is heading a strong Mauritian delegation which includes Robert Desvaux and Dr Karl Mootoosamy, Chairman and Director of the MTPA.
The MTPA has invited some 17 participants of the Mauritian travel trade and hotel sector to participate in B-to-B and B to C events. The objective of the MTPA at BIT 2009 is to cultivate the high quality image of Mauritius in the Italian Market, to reinforce and enhance destination visibility in the Italian Market, to meet key tour operators in Italy (Viaggidea, Hotelplan, Blu Holding, Best tours), to meet top management of Costa Crociere.
A gala dinner, organised by the MTPA, is scheduled on the 18th of February at the Dolce & Gabbana Gold Restaurant, in Milan. VPM Duval will address the Tour Operators and the travel agents at the gala dinner.
BIT 2009 takes place from the 18th to the 21st of February. It is the world’s leading travel industry events for trade professionals around the world, incorporating travel trade, corporate, meeting and incentives sectors, as well as niche tourism products such as golf and luxury travel. Italy is the third long-haul market for Mauritius with 56 700 visitors in 2009.
