MTPA targets high-end travellers from the Indian Market
MTPA participated in the 17th Annual South Asian Travel and Tourism Expo (SATTE) Open World Travel Fair 2010, which is one of India’s biggest travel fair. It was held in New Delhi from 29-30 January. During the exhibition, MTPA showcased the exclusive range of luxurious properties and high-end niche tourism products of the destination.
The Mauritius pavilion was spearheaded by Mrs. Amrita Craig, MTPA, Air Mauritius officials and 13 participating travel agents such as Green Paradise, Top Only, Tam Tam Tours, Travel Designer, Akqua Sun, Seaside Holidays & hotels like Maritim Hotel,Le Meridien, Shanti Ananda Maurice, InterContinental, Apavou Hotels Resorts & SPA, Gold Beach Resort and Movenpick.
MTPA pavilion had an attractive look & high-end feel. It provided a unique characteristic to the destination’s B2B showcase. The response of the travel trade fraternity was very encouraging and lots of companies visited Mauritius Tourism pavilion and thus generated numerous inquiries.
This year SATTE 2010 registered a presence of 500 exhibiting companies and approximately 800 visitors from all over India and overseas. Participants and visitors of the exhibition included international tourism boards & organizations, state tourism departments, leading hotels, resorts, travel agencies, tour operators, business and corporate houses, etc. The three-day travel exhibition focused on the outbound and inbound tourism of India market.
