The young South African Christo Coetzer will attempt a ride around the island of Mauritius on a unicycle, from 19th to 29th December.
This unique event fits in perfectly with the commitment and drive of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) to transform the island into a cyclist and an environment friendly destination.
Unicycling around will allow Christo to taste the legendary hospitality of the island as the population in the towns and villages greet and welcome him on his tour.
The event will benefit from International media Coverage aand enhance the visibility of Mauritius. DSTV in South Africa, several other TV sports channels, the South African Radio Stations, and the specialised cycling magazines will be broadcasting and featuring the unicycling feat of Christo, and allow millions of viewers and readers to discover the sporty and adventurous side of the island. It will allow new perspectives to emerge on fresh ways of exploring the destination, and of experiencing the lesser known tourist products off the beaten track.
This daring island odyssey of Christo will indeed confirm that Mauritius is truly “One Destination Offering Many a Voyage”.
